Discover Mountain MUHABURA OR BISOKE
Mount Muhabura
Muhabura is the third highest of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountain chain at an altitude of 4,127 metres (13,540 ft) with a prominence of 1,530 metres. It can be seen from many parts of Uganda and Rwanda because of its height and characteristic slope.. The hike up Mount Muhabura offers a moderately challenging trek through lush vegetation, with spectacular views of surrounding volcanoes and crater lakes. It’s a great choice for hikers seeking adventure combined with nature and wildlife experiences.
Mount Bisoke
Mount Bisoke is one of the most remarkable volcanoes in the Virunga Mountain range, standing at 3,711 meters (12,175 feet) above sea level. Located on the border between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, it lies within Volcanoes National Park—home to the famous mountain gorillas. The volcano is known for its stunning crater lake at the summit, formed by past eruptions, which adds a breathtaking view to the hiking experience. The Bisoke trek is moderately challenging, taking about 6 hours round trip, and offers scenic trails through lush rainforest, bamboo zones, and alpine meadows. Along the way, hikers may encounter diverse wildlife, including golden monkeys and various bird species, making it a favorite for both adventurers and nature lovers.

What fitness level is required for the hike?
Everyone is welcome! Both Mount Muhabura and Mount Bisoke are guided hikes designed to be enjoyable for all participants. Our team moves at a comfortable pace, with plenty of breaks, making it a fun experience for beginners and experienced hikers alike.
Is the hike to Muhabura or Bisoke?
Participants can choose to hike either Mount Muhabura or Mount Bisoke. Simply book for the route you’d like to experience—but spots are limited, so reserve early.
How do I book a spot for the hike?
Participants can book online through our registration form or contact us directly. Once payment is confirmed, your spot is secured
Is transportation included?
Yes, group transportation to and from the hiking starting point is included for all participants.
What packages and prices are available for the hike?
We offer two packages to fit your preference:
Partner Package (2 people):

Can I join the hike if I have my own transport & accommodation?
Yes, you can still join the hike even if you arrange your own transport and accommodation. In this case, we will only assist you by booking your hiking permit.
